I think the Law of Attraction as advertised in The Secret is actually bad for it, many of the older texts say there is no such thing as "something for nothing", which is what The Secret seems to advertise (I got started on the Secret as well, and for weeks I was just hoping for a lottery win or something). Better teachers of LoA would be Think and Grow Rich or The Science of Getting Rich, which would apply to everything, not just wealth. This is the reason I'll probably stay away from blogging about LoA in my blog, focusing more on things that have worked for me - the attainment of happiness and my inner state, for example. A lot of folks would get very excited about the principals of "The Secret" and the Law of Attraction, and then nothing in their lives would change, except for, perhaps, very momentarily and sporadically. It's just like when you go to a motivational seminar, and you get all pumped up (for a few hours, or days, or weeks) and then your life goes back to the way it has always been. So what is the missing piece? Being that we are both hypnotherapists, we knew that it was programming. In order to best utilize the concepts and power of the law of attraction, one has to change one's mind set - on a subconscious level. So we set out to make the best reprogramming cd that we could. However, the concept of consciously creating your life - as you indicated - is a solid one. If it took the LOA to bring about James Ray's consciousness shift, then even if the phrase is just a "buzz" right now, I do believe that the paradigm shift IS happening. 2) In reading between the lines of your post, I saw (and this is just my opinion) a considerable focus on "how" things are going to happen. You seem radically logical and reasonable, which coming from me is high praise. However, when it comes to the LOA, the "hows" have to NOT be a part of the equation. Read Steve's post from Feb 19th, and read mine as well, and you will see the common theme of energy and emotion being the power behind the LOA, not the details. 3) And finally, I have also read in several areas (including ProBlogger) about the state of the blogging industry, potential saturation, etc. I personally don't see that level of saturation as continuing because eventually most bloggers will get out when they realize that it isn't a get rich quick scheme. I see it as more of a temporary flood situation, where eventually the waters will recede and only the dedicated and knowledgeable bloggers will keep on doing it.
