Kayla,

So long since I've heard from you, and excellent response! People definitely seem to forget these days that the power of their own personal choices is a powerful one.

Never forget that when you are trying to express thoughts to your friends - you're not alone, even if in that group you may appear to be. If there is one thing that this whole thing has taught me is that while some of my closest friends have little interest in the power behind human potential or the interests of personal development, MILLIONS of other people do, and I've had the opportunity to connect, with my words, to at least thousands of those people. If they think you don't know anything because you haven't been listening to the same church lecture, they should open up their minds to other possibilities beyond that of "God's plan," or "fate."

Thank you for putting the idea emphasizing the importance of personal choice so eloquently. I've had similar thoughts of my own and even though I've attempted to spring these ideas onto friends, putting them in a blog for public eyes seems much bolder.

I completely agree with your statement, that "The responsibility of your life really does fall squarely in your own lap." I think that my belief in that statement corresponds with my frustration towards some of my peers. Some friends have tried to tell me about fate, which i whole-heartedly disbelieve. To me, you are the only one in control of your life and the outcome of your actions. If fate took a role in everyone's life, how could there be any accountability? You could just blame everything that goes wrong in your life on fate. Yet it seems that, being the greedy beings humans are, most would take credit for positive outcomes. I don't believe in double standards either. Others, mostly Christians, try to inform me of Divine Intervention. To that I say, "Then why did God give us free will if he can control every aspect of our lives?" That just doesn't make sense to me. I believe in chance, luck, possibility, and probability.

I enjoyed reading.
