Public Experiment #1 - Using the Law of Attraction :: Part 1
Written by Scott Lee - Released January 16th, 2007Let me explain my current situation a bit. There are a number of things that have been happening in my life that are, to say the least, very unexpected. As of January 2007, I am now living with no college tuition, no car, no funding what so ever. After making the decision to move in with my girlfriend Kim, I am completely on my own, as my mom and dad did not support the move. But part of my intentions were to move in with Kim, and with this now manifesting I do not believe there is any reason I should toss the action out the window. Instead, I’m moving forward, and with the moving forward I’m continuing to take new steps that will lead me closer toward creating the life I envision in my mind. Over the course of the next year, I am going to document the major events that occur during this “experiment” to ensure that there will be no hiding, no skewing the truth. It is something I am documenting not for others, but for myself - another place to hold the declaration of my goal, another place to reinforce the intention of my future and current manifestations.
I also have discussed the situation with my parents, and should I fail they will still give me some support. For instance, with my current scholarship I’ll be able to go back within a certain amount of time and still have some things paid for - with a loss of support for however much time I took off. If all else fails, this is still not a bad deal. I also have formulated a few ideas for backup plans - which is never a bad idea.
Some of you are familiar with the Law of Attraction, but those who are not - the Law of Attraction is a principle that simply says that thoughts create your reality, and quite literally so. By thinking that you’re going to be in debt for years, you are inevitably causing yourself to likely be in debt for years. By placing all of your focus, intent, and every part of your being on something wonderful, however, you help to move that action into occurrence faster.
My goal is to generate $100,000 of income, before taxes, by the end of 2007. I believe this is possible to do with my current business model. Other bloggers have been able to begin their enterprise like Darren Rowse from Problogger.net, or Steve Pavlina from his website, stevepavlina.com. I think that if they can do it, I can do it too! But I will need help from friends, fans, and the people I love. As a part of this, I figure that $100,000 is one thing, but overall I think taking part in the million dollar experiment with Steve Pavlina is a worthy venture alongside this endeavor. I just now submitted myself as a public participant. From this day forward, I’m holding this intention as a part of this experiment:
In an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, in its own perfect time, for the highest good of all, I intend $1,000,000 to come into my life and into the lives of everyone who holds this intention.
On my desktop I now have the following statement that reads:
$100,000 each year
1 article per day of quality content
4 quality video features
For this year of 2007, I intend $100,000 in total revenue, to write at least one article per day of quality content, and create 4 quality video features covering different topics in personal development. I’m doing everything I am aware of to go above and beyond the expectations of my parents, who fear the worst and see my future as uncertain; a possible total failure. For one of the video features, I have begun to document it the best I can where I have filmed the beginnings of these goals, the move in over at this house, and me saying something along the lines of, “We’ll see where it goes in the next few months.” I’m not sure when I’ll be able to release this video content, but it is now being worked on.
The feeling of sheer scope and size in light of this event in the past 3 days has been exhausting to a point, and I’m still a bit on edge emotionally. If I hold this belief, this unwavering faith, solidly, and do everything possible to align my actions to my intentions, I believe that this goal is completed as I work on it.
Just as I was holding my feelings and visualizations of having tons of money in my hand, of seeing the numbers in traffic increase on this website, I experienced a traffic explosion recently. With a previous average of only a couple hundred unique visitors per day, I saw recently a jump to over 500 one day, the next day went over 1800. Perhaps this commitment I have made to offering free content that will help other people is beginning to pay off the way I’ve been dreaming :). And it makes sense I should pursue this, whether it’s full time or not - I studied this material for at least 4 years before deciding to get up and write all about it.
So remember to check back, and discover how the results of this project will come along. These first few months are just the beginning of a long term project that could make a powerful difference in other’s lives. The sheer number of people that have flocked to this since I have started it is surprising, even though the numbers, thinking about them now, are actually kind of small - it is still far beyond anything that I have ever done in the past. My musical following has a listener base of maybe a few thousand listeners max, my production company has a very tiny local following, but this site has excelled in ways I could probably not have done with those other projects in the same amount of time. I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for the early support you have given - even just reading my words means more to me than you could ever fathom. I also want to again give thanks to Bill Perry of LucidBlog.com, who has given me more free knowledge on making this whole project work even to the extent it has in its beginnings, more than anyone so far.
My time clock on achieving my desired results is somewhat limited, however. I only have until next fall before being very pressed to re-enter college again and have to move back to my mother’s house. Within that period of time, however, I intend to take every action I can to launch this project into success. Wish me luck, or - for those believing in the Law of Attraction - decide me well. ![]()

I like what you’re saying. Hey KIM, I want to do the same thing, can I move in too? Ha ha! I like your idea of putting the goal up on your computer. I have a daily paragraph I listen too also. The important thing is to make sure you don’t read it in your mind. You must say the words outloud. You must hear your voice! Listen to what I did. I got an IPOD for christmas. Record your daiy thought on the computer. Transfer the file to your IPOD, and play the thing back on REPEAT! You are now listening to your voice, over and over again. IT WORKS!
I have plenty more to say, but no time now. I will check out the million dollar experiment.
How you going to keep your idea from people if you blog about it?
Thanks for getting my head going…by the way, I’m a 5 million dollar man.

I like the way you put that at the end, “Decide Me Well”. It really brings home the idea of the Law of Attraction.
And, thanks for mentioning me in the post, too! That’s always a plus ![]()

Great info.
I watched the Secret DVD a few months ago and got another book on Law of Attraction,
but it didn’t really start happening for me until I wrote down my intentions. I found that to be
VERY powerful.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0975436171/ is a book I just got, which makes
planning out your Law of Attraction goals easy. Just fill in the blanks and you’ve got a road
map to follow. Has been working well so far.
